OpenAI launches ChatGPT Work, merging ChatGPT, Codex, and Atlas into one super-app
| OpenAI's new desktop app merges chat, the Codex coding agent, and the Atlas browser into one interface, positioned as a general-purpose productivity agent rather than a chatbot. |
| It runs on the new GPT-5.6 model family and can generate live web apps through a feature called Sites, turning a prompt into a working dashboard, tracker, or internal portal. |
| Rollout starts with Pro, Enterprise, and Edu users, expanding to Plus and Business within days, landing as a direct answer to Anthropic's Claude Cowork and Microsoft's Copilot Cowork, both already selling enterprises on the same "agent that finishes the task" pitch. |

Three of the biggest names in enterprise software are now selling the exact same promise: hand off a task, get back a finished result. That convergence tells you the model war is quieter for now, what's left is a trust war. The vendor that wins your business won't be the one with the highest benchmark score, it will be the one whose output your team stops double-checking first.

Three different labs reached the same conclusion in the same month: a smarter model does not solve an enterprise's adoption problem, but an embedded, Palantir-style engineering team does. That is the market validating the exact model Futurelab already runs, which also means the competition for good forward-deployed engineers just got more expensive.

Claude for Microsoft 365: let Claude actually send the email and book the meeting, not just draft them
Anthropic's Microsoft 365 connector for Claude just moved from read-only to read-write. Claude can now draft, send, and organise email, manage calendar events, update mailbox settings, and create or update files directly in OneDrive and SharePoint, all inside the Microsoft stack most teams already live in.
| 1. | Turn on the Microsoft 365 connector in your Claude Enterprise or Team admin settings and authorise it against your organisation's Microsoft 365 tenant. |
| 2. | Give Claude a task with a real endpoint, not just a question, for example "draft and send a follow-up to everyone who hasn't replied to Tuesday's meeting invite." |
| 3. | Ask Claude to clean up a messy inbox or shared calendar: flag priority threads, move recurring meetings, tidy mailbox rules. |
| 4. | Start with one recurring admin task per person and expand once the team trusts what it sees Claude actually send. |
Why it works: The bottleneck was never "can AI draft this email," it's always been "does someone still have to copy, paste, and hit send." Removing that last step is what turns a nice demo into an hour back in someone's week.
