| A note from Team Futurelab / 4-minute read |
Last week, we wrote about Gemini 4 Argon, Google's newest top-tier AI, when only a small group of security teams could use it. On Monday, Google opened it up, and it's now inside the Gemini app on your phone and laptop. If you have a Google AI Pro or Ultra plan, you can use it today, here in India too. It also now ranks first on the Vals Index, which tests how well AI handles real work in finance, coding, legal and tax. Two things make it worth trying this week. |
It works while you are away With Gemini tasks, you hand it a job and it keeps going even when you're not at your computer. It works across your Google apps and more than 40 others, including Adobe, Shopify and OpenTable. |
It keeps you in the loop On longer jobs, it shares its progress more often, so you always know where things stand. Google says it also answers more directly, with less hedging and fewer clichés. |
Put together, this is AI that carries out the work you give it, with you choosing the task and checking the result. Who gets it: Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search. Developers and businesses can use it through Google's paid API, at a launch price that runs until the end of November. |

1ChatGPT now answers with charts, calculators and buttons |
OpenAI has rolled out GPT-6 across ChatGPT. Answers can now include charts, forms, tappable buttons and small tools built for your question, like a calculator to see how your savings could grow or a bill splitter for dinner with friends. Prefer plain text? You can turn the visuals down in ChatGPT's settings. Who gets it: Everyone, including free users, since 8 October. |
2Claude builds live dashboards and short videos |
Claude Dashboards connects to your business data and builds live dashboards from questions asked in plain English. Each chart shows the question behind it and updates on its own when your data changes. Claude Motion turns ideas, decks or proposals into short animations you can edit and export as video. Claude's Docs, Slides and Design tools are now available on every plan too. Who gets it: Dashboards on paid plans and Motion on Team and Enterprise, both in beta. |
3AI shopping agents get a “you approved this” check |
American Express has published a way to record exactly what you want before an AI agent buys something for you. You confirm the details, and the agent gets a secure payment token in place of your card number. Ask for white Nike sneakers in size nine, and if the agent reaches for a different brand, the system can catch it and stop the purchase. Who should care: Anyone who sells online, or wants to let AI shop for them with confidence. |
Until next Wednesday, |

| Something to try before Friday. |
Write your AI a memory card. It takes about 10 minutes, and you will feel the difference in your very next chat. |
1 |
Open the AI tool you use most and paste in the prompt below. |
2 |
Answer its questions in a few lines each: your role, your goals this quarter, how you like answers written, and anything it should never do. |
3 |
Save the finished card where your AI can reuse it: in ChatGPT's custom instructions, in a Claude Project, or by asking Muse to remember it. |
4 |
Try one real task and notice how much less you need to explain. |
Copy this prompt Interview me to build a one-page memory card you can use in every future chat. Ask me one question at a time about my role, my team, my goals this quarter, how I like answers written, and anything you should never do. When we are done, write it up in under 200 words. |
| Tip: update your card at the start of each quarter, or whenever your goals change. |
